Dog Training
Dog training is an important aspect of your dog's life since it teaches him how to behave outside your house, also creating a positive relationship between you and your dog. The three stages of dog training are learning, correction and proofing. Learning should occur in a familiar and quiet place where the dog will not get distracted. Your dog will naturally made mistakes while in training so it's necessary to correct and not punish them with the help of a tug on a leash. Proofing is the time when you see if your dog has been properly trained, without responding to distractions.
It is recommended that private lessons should be followed by group classes, that will help your dog get used to well-educated owners as well as other trained dogs. It is a good idea to offer your pet treat while it's under house training but not to many as they will spoil him. Training in your house is especially useful for puppies that chew on shoes or pillows. After catching the dog committing the deed, take the object away and say in a deep voice "NO!" then "Baaaaaaad Dog" several times.
Training your dog for obedience should be done in at least 15 minutes a day. Everytime you want to teach him something like sit, stay, heel, no bark, or down, say the word and then pressurize the dog to obey for the command. Say it without any hesitation and if the dog executes it correctly, remember to praise it and give the dog its favorite threat. You should give command according to the act of the dog. If you see it jumping, give the command "Jump" and repeat it for at least 4 or 5 times.
